There is no doubt that semantic web is an innovative technology and it is expected to change the way in which information is interpreted and exchanged throughout the World Wide Web. Though most of the users are not familiar with semantic web scripts yet, but, this can definitely play a big role in making information more understandable and even complex searches can produce better results with it. Here metadata is used for conducting the search as it is going to clearly identify what a user is actually looking for. Therefore, the search is basically redefined as well. Users cannot really see metadata in any possible way, however, computers can identify who created these, the date or time of creation and location where the same was created.
Semantic web is all about letting user set his own preferences into a computerized agent. It is the duty of the agent then to search and present the most accurate results. Metadata itself will not conduct any search. However, it will identify the best possible results depending on the past habits and preferences of the user. If a user informs about his bad experience about a specific website, metadata will make sure that the same website is not included in the search process for that user again.
